Iceland Gull of the wrong age

A circuitous trip to Bowness-on-Windermere paid off with a nice 2nd winter Iceland Gull (advancing to 3rd winter), presumably the same individual I saw here last February, but there was no sign of the reported adult bird. Makes me wonder whether someone had misidentified it from distance. At least this individual, like last year's bird, was tame enough to allow close approach and posed well for the camera, albeit only for about half an hour, after which it vanished without further sign.

Goosander is also a nice bird to photograph here and performed well for the camera today.
