Ring-necked gives me the run-around

After a fairly lengthy walk from the car-park and a long time spend sifting through the Tufties at Tindale Tarn, I eventually set eyes on the prize: Ring-necked Duck. I got some decent record shots but nothing to write home about. (The ones below are heavily cropped.) The Rough-legged Buzzard failed to show at Plenmeller Common (south of Haltwhistle) but a female Merlin dashing through just about made up for this. Other ducks at Tindale included Pochard, Goldeneye and Goosander.
