Baikal, Cranes and Hobbies

It had been a while since my last lifer and with the long-staying mega still showing well down south, I couldn't resist. The Baikal Teal was relatively straightforward - and a real stunner, but what I didn't expect was an array of top-class scarcities in addition. And whilst the Teal remained distant throughout my stay, Common Cranes (3) flew overhead, only yards above me, and I got my best shots of Hobby, three of which hawked insects along the nearby river. There were also Cetti's Warblers, Cuckoos, loads of Little Egrets... on a beautiful day! Just about worth the long journey.
