Barnie's Back

To be fair, ‘Barnie’ had been back for a while – but appearances were sporadic at best and always at night in car headlights. But on the most recent occasion (1st January 2024), it appeared before dusk and hung around the same area for some time. It also seemed quite tame today, perhaps having grown accustomed to cars whizzing past and birders like me feasting their eyes on the thing. Yes, the light was shocking but at 3200 ISO, I managed to get some sharp images, and these are probably the pick of the bunch:
